Lucy Raizman is a senior staff therapist, working with individuals, couples, and families. She is a licensed clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist, an AAMFT- Approved Supervisor, and also a research associate and interviewer for the Transcending Trauma Project since 1992. She received her MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Post-graduate training at Council for Relationships.
Lucy is passionate about the benefits of the attachment-based work of EFT (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) and is skilled in helping individuals and couples repair and enhance their relationships. Areas of professional interest and expertise include couples and sex therapy, separation/divorce and co-parenting issues, infidelity/affairs, stress/anger management, eating disorders, and mind-body oriented approaches to trauma resolution. Lucy integrates her specialized training and experience in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and SE (Somatic Experiencing) for the process of helping people recover from trauma and attachment injuries, in an effective and efficient manner. In addition to counseling, she also teaches courses such as PAIRS (Practical Application for Intimacy and Relationship Skills), Anger Management, PREP Couples Communication, and presents on couples and trauma-related therapies.
